“Fore the Kids” Golf Outing 2020

DRIVE hosted our First Annual Charity Golf Outing on August 10th 2020 at Greystone Golf Course in Washington Township MI. During this event DRIVE was able to raise over $10,000 for our local kids! Given that we were limited on the amount of golfers/attendees that we were allowed to host due to COVID 19, we have considered this first year to be an absolutely incredible success! All funds raised during this event will directly support the feeding of underprivileged children in Macomb County Elementary Schools for the 2020/2021 School Year.

To accomplish this, DRIVE has partnered with a local program called Blessings in a Backpack MI. Through this partnership, DRIVE has adopted a local school. This means that any child who is currently enrolled in the schools “free & reduced lunch program” will be eligible to take home “backpacks” of free meals EVERY weekend for the entire school year! This is extremely important as most of these children are only being fed while at school and have limited access to food while at home.
