With the help of our incredible community, DRIVE was able to support over 225 children in 2021!
Together with the help of many generous donors, wish list sponsors, volunteers, board members, friends, and our incredible community, DRIVE was able to support over 225 children for the 2021 Holiday Season!
•Macomb Charitable Foundation - 2021 was the second year that DRIVE collaborated with MCF to sponsor children in need of items during the holidays. This group of children and their mothers are all either living at or below poverty level within Macomb County. Many of them are homeless, living in shelters, or living in temporary housing. The level of need with these children is extremely high and we do our best to make sure that all of their Christmas Wishes are granted. With TONS of help from wish list donors, volunteers, board members, friends, family, and more we were able to provide wish list items, winter gear, personal care items, food, home care items and MORE to over 50 children and their moms in this group for the holidays.
•Elementary Eats! Food Program Children - The second group of children that DRIVE supported during this holiday season came from Roberts Elementary School. These children are currently enrolled in our backpack food program and are in need of many basic items. Together with wish list sponsors, many volunteers, and the amazing staff at the school, we were able to provide over 70 children with winter gear, clothing, food, and wish list toys just in time for Christmas! Our board members even delivered gifts to families without transportation to ensure that each child was able to receive their gifts before the holiday!
•Pastor Curtiss Ostosh of Harvest Time Christian Fellowship of Warren - in 2020 DRIVE assisted Pastor Curtiss with Christmas gifts for around 35 children. in 2021 he reached out with a MUCH bigger list and we jumped at the opportunity to help! in 2021 DRIVE provided gift bags of age/gender appropriate gifts for over 100 children per the pastors request which were used during this FREE Christmas Event hosted by Harvest Time Christian Fellowship of Warren on December 22nd.
